My girlfriend and I tried the female condom last night. I had read about it and finally found where to buy it online. We talked about it for a month before trying it. It was GREAT! Even better than I expected. She had just a little trouble putting it in but agreed it would be easier after the first time. As advertised, after a couple of minutes it had warmed up and it felt very, very natural. In fact, there was a little more friction present than normal, so it felt BETTER than nothing at all. Our experiment was very successful and we intend to use them exclusively in place of regular male condoms. We also intend to spread the word among our friends.

I've been hearing sob stories from my guy about how using condoms affects an older man's libido. Thank God for FCs. Now I won't have to hear that sad story ever again. We tried it. A bit awkward in the beginning -- felt like lubricated Saran Wrap. However, I'm all about mutual pleasure, so I hung in there and realized how relaxing it was not to worry about (male) condoms slipping off or breaking. Him? From a sexual health perspective, there are large benefits to a female condom for anal/oral sex. Because of the ring on the outside, there is no slippage, no 'lost' condoms in the anus. Its a great latex free alternative. I think the best point about the female condom is that the ring covers more of the vulva/anus when inserted. That makes it an awesome barrier for herpes sufferers, HPV warts, or any other sexually transmitted infection that can be transmitted through skin to skin contact, not just fluids. It gives extra coverage.

Do you and your partner have trouble using male condoms? If you do then fc female condoms are for you! My partner and I used them and things are so much better. We acualy have more sensation with these than with male condoms. It's a bit fustrating at first with putting it in but I finaly got the hang of it. But other than that they work great , better than male condoms. And I love the fact that I'm in control now!

Pros: Feels better for him, more sensation for both of you (make sure you put PLENTY of lubrication on the inside, especially if he is larger) As a woman, you can put it in up to 8 hours ahead if you like. As for me, I asked my partner to put it in the first time as part of foreplay- challenging, but fun. (lots of giggles here) It is easy once you get the hang of it. It does have a tendancy to make a little noise with friction, but he will LOVE the sensation and the fact that he can feel your warmth. Finally, the external ring, while weird at first, CAN provide a little extra clitoral stimulation... :) The only complaint I have is that these are hard to find in the stores. Go online and buy in bulk.
